Keep the measuring tape horizontal. Hold it close to the body without pulling it tight.

The circumference values refer to the body. A flat-measured waistband width is not a body circumference. Between two sizes? Choose the larger size if you prefer a more comfortable fit.

For shirts, measure horizontally around the widest part of your chest. Compare this body circumference with the chest column of the table.
